About this document

Fungal Heavy Metal Tolerance Study by Muhammad Mushtaq is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This document summarizes a study that investigated the heavy metal tolerance potential of fungi isolated from solid waste at a copper smelting industry. Two fungi species, Coprinellus xanthothrix and Alternaria tenuissima, were isolated and found to be resistant to copper concentrations from 50-250 ppm. Coprinellus xanthothrix showed the highest tolerance, with tolerance indices of 1, 0.738, 0.7, 0.355 and 0.288 for increasing copper concentrations. Alternaria tenuissima exhibited tolerance indices of 1, 0.
