The Cummins ISX is the mainstream engine offered by Cummins for over-the-road applications and the largest motorhomes. It was designed to replace the popular N14 Cummins and is the next generation of emission compliant, high horsepower engines. The ISX has undergone two main design changes - the CM570 original version and CM870/CM871 versions which added EGR and DPF systems to meet emission standards.
