This study assessed the relationship between the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of officers at the Regional Disaster Management Agency in Makassar City, Indonesia and the optimization of flood disaster management. A survey was conducted with 40 officers, including 30 office staff and 10 field officers. The results showed there were significant relationships between knowledge and optimization of flood management (p=0.032), attitudes and optimization (p=0.036), and practices and optimization (p=0.013).
