The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway opened in 1898 as a single-track narrow gauge railway running slightly over 19 miles between Lynton and Barnstaple in North Devon, England. It struggled financially for most of its existence due to low passenger numbers and was closed in 1935. In 1979 the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Association was formed to preserve and restore the line, reopening a short section in 2004 and extending operations since.
