The Kalishta Monastery complex near Struga consists of four churches located in a natural rocky environment on the shore of Lake Ohrid. The oldest part is a 14th century cave church dedicated to the Nativity of Holy Mary built inside a cave. There are also newer churches from the 18th century including one housing a wonderworking icon of Holy Mary. The monastery grounds include monk cells, chapels, and a notable maple tree that is over 600 years old. The monastery is an important cultural and spiritual site
