What is Mumbai Oil Spill: Environmental Impact about?

The oil spill from the sinking ships MSC Chitra and MV Khalijia-III off the coast of Mumbai threatens major environmental damage. Over 2,700 tonnes of fuel and diesel were onboard the ships and some has leaked, creating a large oil slick. The oil slick impacts local marine life through poisoning, destroying habitats, and coating the fur and feathers of animals. It endangers fish, birds and other wildlife. The oil slick also threatens mangrove forests and could take 45 days to fully remove from the sea. Loca
