What is Anterior Forearm Muscles Overview about?

The anterior compartment of the forearm contains three layers of muscles: superficial (flexor carpi ulnaris, palmaris longus, flexor carpi radialis, pronator teres), intermediate (flexor digitorum superficialis), and deep (flexor pollicis longus, flexor digitorum profundus, pronator quadratus). These muscles are primarily responsible for wrist and finger flexion, as well as forearm pronation, and are mostly innervated by the median nerve. The arterial supply comes from the ulnar and radial arteries.
