Motorcycle Identity and Risk Perception by hereiamthen82 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This poster summarizes a study exploring the social identity of motorcyclists, their perception of risk, and actual risky riding behavior. The study used an online questionnaire measuring motorcycle rider identity and the Balloon Analogue Risk Task to assess risk-taking. It is predicted that motorcycle clubs in existence for over 10 years will demonstrate higher solidarity among members. Some club types may show high in-group favoritism and justify risky behavior.
