About this document
ULBT and HMDR in Airway Assessment by Vishnu is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The study evaluates the diagnostic value of the Upper Lip Bite Test (ULBT) combined with the Hyomental Distance Ratio (HMDR) in assessing airway difficulty prior to anesthesia. Results indicate that ULBT alone has high sensitivity (88.2%) and specificity (99.62%), while the combination with HMDR further enhances predictive accuracy for difficult intubation. The findings suggest that ULBT is a reliable screening tool for airway assessment, outperforming traditional methods like the Mallampati test.
