What is Brøset Violence Checklist in PICU Use about?

This study evaluated the introduction of the Brøset Violence Checklist (BVC) in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to predict and manage incidents of violence and aggression. Over a 13-week period, 86 incidents were reported, with a high completion rate of BVC scores prior to these incidents, leading to the development of appropriate management plans. The findings suggest that the BVC is a valuable tool for proactive risk assessment and intervention in psychiatric settings.
