This study analyzed 80 cases of fibro-osseous lesions reported at a hospital over 20 years to compare features of cemento-ossifying fibroma (COF) and fibrous dysplasia (FD). The most common lesion was COF (75% of cases) rather than FD (25% of cases). COF presented more in females and involved the mandibular posterior region, while FD presented more in males and involved the maxilla. Radiographically, COF typically showed well-defined mixed radiopaque and radiolucent areas, while FD showed diffuse borders.
