This research evaluates a machine learning ensemble approach for high-resolution mapping of coastal mangrove forests across West Africa using Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellite data. The study demonstrates that the ensemble method, which integrates Random Forest, Gradient Boosting Machine, and Neural Network, achieves high accuracy in mapping mangrove extent at a spatial resolution of 20 m. This approach has the potential for global application, addressing inconsistencies in existing mangrove data products
