Two experienced climbers, Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, attempted to climb a dangerous mountain in Peru. During their descent, Simpson fell and broke his leg. Yates tied them together with rope and spent hours lowering Simpson down the mountain. However, Simpson then fell over a cliff and was left hanging in mid-air.
