This study investigates the relationship between postintubation hypotension and 30-day mortality in patients with severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) undergoing prehospital rapid sequence induction. Out of 555 patients analyzed, those experiencing postintubation hypotension had a significantly higher mortality rate, particularly among those with isolated TBI. The findings highlight the need for randomized interventional studies to mitigate postintubation hypotension in this patient population.
