About this document
Understanding Nuclear Physics Concepts by Wayne Teo is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Laser is coherent, collimated, and monochromatic. Isotopes have the same number of protons but different numbers of neutrons. Mass defect is the difference between the sum of nucleon masses and the actual nucleus mass. Radioactivity is the random and spontaneous decay of an unstable nucleus to a more stable one through emission of particles and/or radiation. Different types of radiation have different properties in terms of ionizing power and ability to penetrate matter.
