A Circassian man named Tsherim Soobzokov joined Nazi auxiliary units and later the Waffen-SS during World War 2. After the war, the CIA recruited him as a spy against the Soviet Union despite his Nazi past. This eventually led to his past being disclosed, legal issues, and he was ultimately killed by a pipe bomb in 1985 that was claimed by an anonymous caller from the Jewish Defence League.
