This study presents a sedimentological analysis of the lowermost Jurassic formations in the Central Iberian Chain, focusing on lateral facies variations and their early diagenetic origins. Three main facies were identified: gypsum-anhydrite with dolomitic intercalations, breccias, and massive dolomites, all deposited in an inner platform environment. The findings indicate that the observed facies variations are primarily influenced by differential subsidence rather than late diagenetic dissolution processes
