This document contains results from the Zanzibar presidential election held on March 20, 2016. It shows the results by political party and candidate in each of the districts (Wilayas) of Zanzibar. The ruling CCM party candidate, Ali Mohamed Shein, won overwhelmingly with over 72% of the vote nationwide. The main opposition party CUF candidate, Seif Sharif Hamad, received over 4% of the vote. Overall voter turnout was approximately 47,889 people out of a total registered voter population of around 58,331.
