About this document
Outcome of Atrial Fibrillation in Patients With Se by Wenny Oktavia is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the outcomes of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with sepsis, finding that AF does not correlate with higher mortality or longer hospital stays. Out of 113 patients, 57 developed AF, but the mortality rate was similar between those with and without AF. The authors suggest further research is needed to explore the causes of high inpatient mortality in sepsis and to develop local management guidelines for AF in critically ill patients.
