## Abstract The genus __Scopoides__ Platnick, 1989 from China is revised. A new genus, __Platnickus__**gen. nov.**, is established with the type species __Scopoidesxizangensis__ Hu, 2001, and a new species is described, __Platnickusreni__**sp. nov.** Three new combinations are proposed: __Allozelotesgyirongensis__ (Hu, 2001), **comb. nov.**, __Platnickuswanglangensis__ (Yuan, Zhao & Zhang, 2019), **comb. nov.**, and __Platnickusxizangensis__ (Hu, 2001), **comb. nov.**
