What is Schizophrenia Case Study and Care Plan about?

A 43-year-old male with a history of schizophrenia was admitted to the psychiatric unit due to auditory hallucinations and paranoid delusions. He had stopped taking olanzapine 3 weeks prior due to weight gain. On examination, he was acutely psychotic, oriented only to person and time, and believed he was in jail. Lab work showed elevated liver enzymes consistent with his history of hepatitis C. His medications included clozapine which was being titrated up, along with other antipsychotics and anxiolytics.
