What is The Frogs and the Well: A Cautionary Tale about?

Two frogs who were best friends find themselves homeless when the pond they lived in dries up due to a long, hot summer with no rain. They set off together into the forest, hopping for many nights to find a new, cool and damp place to live. Exhausted, they come upon an old well. The braver but less wise frog jumps into the well without considering whether it is dry or safe. His wiser friend warns him to look before he leaps but cannot stop him from jumping in.
