Manastirea Vacaresti a fost un important monument istoric din Bucuresti, construit in secolul al XVIII-lea. A fost transformat intr-un penitenciar in 1864, iar in 1986 a fost demolat la ordinul lui Nicolae Ceausescu, in ciuda protestelor specialistilor pentru salvarea sa.
