What is Futures Symbology Year Format Update about?

A 2 digit year format will now be used for futures contract symbology expiring in 2018 and later. Previously, only 1 digit was used to represent the year. The new format requires entering the futures contract symbol, month code, and last 2 digits of the year, such as SP H18 for a March 2018 contract. This 2 digit year format will be required for contracts expiring in 2018 and beyond.
