What is Early-Career Forest Scientist Visits about?
The IUFRO Special Programme for Development of Capacities (IUFRO-SPDC) supports early-career forest scientists from economically disadvantaged countries to conduct research abroad for up to three months. In 2023-2024, five scientists received sponsorships to explore various topics, including mycorrhizal associations, carbon sequestration in post-war Ukraine, wood quality traits, and medicinal plants. The program aims to enhance scientific collaboration and capacity building in forest research globally.
