What is ATS Notes about?

African Traditional Society relied on unwritten laws and cultural norms for justice, with elders and local chiefs acting as judges in family and clan courts. Justice was promoted through various means, but certain groups like women, children, and twins often suffered from injustices such as discrimination and violence. The document also touches on historical injustices, including the African slave trade and the efforts of St. Peter Claver to assist enslaved Africans.
