This study evaluated the effects of therapeutic touch on vital signs in 40 hospitalized newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital in São Paulo, Brazil. The majority of newborns were male, pre-term, and born via vaginal delivery. Respiratory distress was the main reason for hospital admission.
