What is Authentic Prayer: Connecting with God about?

Private prayer is the most authentic form of prayer as it allows one to deeply connect with God alone without seeking to impress others. While public prayer can be a good example, one should pray primarily to commune with God, cooperate with Him, express trust in Him, and give Him honor - not to draw attention or show off righteousness. The goal of prayer should be for God to hear you rather than for others to notice you.
