What is Understanding SINAD in Radio Systems about?

SINAD is a measurement of receiver sensitivity that represents the ratio of total signal power to unwanted noise and distortion power. It provides an overall assessment of receiver performance in a single measurement. To measure SINAD, a test signal modulated with an audio tone is passed through the receiver, and the output levels of the total signal and of just the noise and distortion are measured, then compared to calculate the SINAD ratio in decibels. A SINAD value of 12dB corresponds to 25% distortion
