What is Weird Al about?

Weird Al Yankovic parodies the song "American Pie" by Don McLean to tell the story of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 3 verses. He summarizes key events like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan meeting Jar Jar Binks and Boss Nass on Naboo, finding young Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine, convincing the Jedi Council that Anakin is strong with the Force, and the final battle between the Gungans, Naboo pilots, and the droid army. The song highlights Anakin as a future Jedi who will one day turn to the dark side as Darth Vader.
