This dissertation examined the psychological effects of childhood verbal abuse on adults. The author conducted a retrospective study using a sample of 224 adults aged 18-40 who reported experiencing verbal abuse as children. Participants completed questionnaires measuring childhood trauma exposure and current mental health functioning. Logistic regression analysis found that experiencing verbal abuse as a child significantly predicts the likelihood of developing anxiety, depression, and PTSD as an adult. Ve
