A survey was conducted before and after a blood drive event. The initial survey showed 6000 people said they would donate blood, but only 5220 actually donated. The post-survey showed that 1740 people did not donate due to inconvenience, 580 due to pain/needles, and 2610 due to other medical issues. A separate survey of 60 people attending a culture event showed the top three reasons for not donating blood were inconvenience at 10.5 people, fear of pain at 21 people, and medical reasons at 10.5 people.
