What is Atlantis: A Fictional Creation by Plato about?

Scholars believe Atlantis was a fictional place created by Plato because there is no archaeological evidence it existed. It was not mentioned in other Greek literature until the late 1800s when popular mystics and authors helped spread the idea it was real, despite there being no historical validity. Ignatius Donnelly and later Charles Berlitz further popularized the notion of a lost Atlantis in their books, though it remained an unproven idea rather than established fact.
