About this document

Glomerulonephritis Patterns in Pakistan by iajps is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study examined the pattern of primary glomerulonephritis in Pakistan by analyzing kidney biopsies from 128 patients over one year. The most common type was Membrane glomerulonephritis (22.12%), followed by IgA nephropathy (11.5%), and Focal Segmental Proliferative Glomerulonephritis (14.2%). The majority of patients were males between ages 31-40. The results were similar to other South Asian studies but differed from reports in Western countries, possibly due to genetic and environmental factors.
