This study aimed to reduce the incidence of neonatal hypothermia in the delivery room from 50% to less than 10% using the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles over a period of six weeks. By implementing various interventions such as skin-to-skin contact and pre-warmed clothing, the incidence of hypothermia dropped to zero after four PDSA cycles. The quality improvement project successfully maintained normal body temperature in term and late preterm neonates following vaginal delivery.
