The 2017 Good Governance Report ranks the corporate governance of the largest UK companies based on their performance across 47 governance indicators grouped into five categories. The report finds that Diageo, Aviva, GKN, Barclays, and others achieved the highest scores. Companies in the energy/utilities sectors on average scored higher than the overall mean, while information technology companies scored lower. The indicators measuring audit/risk accountability were most correlated with external perceptions
