What is House By The Stream (the Valley Of Dreams) about?

Gordon Channer's previous book, Village by the Ford is the true story of selling up, leaving a big house and friends to buy a wild and lonely Cornish Valley, there to live a more risky, more exciting life - hoping to create a special type of holiday retreat. House by the Stream finds the family on the point of failure, but can they succeed after all? Life beside the small stream is primitive and danger lies ahead, but there is laughter, how curiously visitors behave, a little mischief, a sprinkling of romance, a love of nature - and problems to surmount - a need to improvise. There is no house yet by that stream, just a tiny caravan, but that could change. Living is indeed risky and exciting! And the children, how do they manage? Could you own do better? A true story that every parent and Grandpaarent will love; the places and people are real, what you read is there to see, pay a visit for it did happen. Always a risk, an adventure with no certainty of success - but wouldn't you love to do something similar? If you dare!
