This document provides instructions for configuring SAN switch zones in Cisco switches. It describes 5 steps: 1) logging into the management server, 2) opening Cisco Fabric Manager, 3) logging into Fabric Manager, 4) creating aliases for the server ports and checking prerequisites, and 5) creating a zone and adding the server alias to it. The purpose is to configure zones in the Cisco SAN to attach SAN disks to a server as requested. Responsibilities of various teams in the process are also outlined.
