About this document

Physician Culture in Shared Decision Making by gacic.aleksandra3 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates physician culture related to shared decision making (SDM) in a gynaecological oncology department in the Netherlands through hospital ethnography. It identifies three key elements of physician habitus that affect SDM implementation: emphasis on medical evidence, team dynamics, and assumptions about patient preferences. The findings suggest that medical training should better address eliciting patient perspectives to enhance SDM practices.
