Apalutamide Maculopapular rash, psoriasiform and erythrodermic rash and acute urticaria: 4 case reports In a retrospective analysis of 303 patients with prostate cancer (PCa) treated with apalutamide between July 2010 and March 2021, four men aged 64-75 years were described, who developed maculopapular rash, psoriasiform and erythrodermic rash or acute urticaria during treatment with apalutamide for PCa.Case 1:A 75-year-old man, who had PCa, received treatment with apalutamide. Eleven days after apalutamide initiation, he developed apalutamide-related grade 3 pruritic maculopapular rash. Histopathology showed a superficial perivascular and interstitial infiltrate comprising of eosinophils, lymphocytes and neutrophils. He was treated with diphenhydramine, clobetasol and prednisone. Twenty-three days after the treatment, the pruritic maculopapular rash resolved.Case 2: A 69-year-old man, who had PCa, received treatment with apalutamide. Twenty five days following apalutamide initiation, he developed apalutamide-related grade 1 pruritic maculopapular rash. Examination revealed erythematous patches with few overlying papules.
