What is Impact Resistance of PET Waste Concrete about?

This study investigated the impact resistance and energy absorption capacity of concrete containing plastic waste from PET bottles. PET bottles were shredded and used to replace fine and coarse natural aggregates at percentages of 5-20% by weight. Tests found that concrete with plastic waste had lower compressive strength but better impact resistance compared to normal concrete.
