Cashew Phenol as Corrosion Inhibitor in Batteries by NITESH is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the use of cashew phenol polyoxyethylene ether (CPPE) as an environmentally friendly additive to inhibit self-corrosion in alkaline aluminum-air batteries. Results show that CPPE can reduce hydrogen evolution and enhance battery performance, achieving a corrosion inhibition efficiency of 74.5% at a concentration of 0.20 mmol⋅L−1. The findings suggest that CPPE improves the discharge voltage and overall effectiveness of aluminum anodes in battery applications.
