What is Time about?

Time is a fundamental concept in geomorphology as landscapes change over time. There is no standard geomorphic time scale, as time periods can vary based on the nature and size of the landscape feature being studied. Models of landscape change are either time-dependent or time-independent. Geomorphologists also study the magnitude and frequency of geomorphic processes and how landscapes change through time in response to disturbances, through concepts like reaction, relaxation, and hysteresis.
