Two additional Disaster Recovery Centers opened in Westchester and Ulster counties in New York to help individuals and businesses affected by Hurricane Irene and flooding. This brought the total number of open centers to eight. The centers provide information about FEMA assistance and are staffed by specialists from FEMA and other state agencies. Representatives from the Small Business Administration are also available to explain low-interest loans for storm damage recovery.
