About this document
Masquelet Technique for Chronic Osteomyelitis by venkata kotireddy Nandyala is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study evaluates the efficacy of the Masquelet technique combined with early debridement and internal fixation for treating childhood chronic haematogenous osteomyelitis (CCHOM) in long bones. In a cohort of 21 patients, none experienced infection recurrence, with an average bone union time of 4.3 months, and all patients resumed normal activities by the last follow-up. The findings suggest that this surgical approach is a viable option for managing large bone defects in CCHOM patients.
