About this document

Winkelstroter, 2015 by kelly.pereira5 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates the bacteriocin produced by Lactobacillus paraplantarum FT259 and its effect on biofilm formation by Listeria monocytogenes. The results indicate that L. paraplantarum FT259 can inhibit L. monocytogenes biofilm formation and produces a bacteriocin with a molecular mass around 3900 Da, identified as plantaricin NC8. This is the first report demonstrating the inhibitory effect of L. paraplantarum on L. monocytogenes biofilms and the presence of the plantaricin NC8 gene in this strain.
