What is List of Recognized Maritime Organizations about?

This document provides a list of organizations recognized by Member States under Council Directive 94/57/EC. It was originally adopted on 30 September 1996 and has been amended twice, in 1998 and 2002, to update the list of recognized organizations. The annex now lists 11 organizations recognized on the basis of Article 4(1) of the Directive for their activities in all Member States, as well as 2 additional organizations recognized under Article 4(3) whose recognition is limited to specific Member States.
