The Chao Phraya River flows through central Thailand with its source being the confluence of the Ping and Nan rivers in Nakhon Sawan province. Its main tributaries are the Sakea Krang and Pa Sak rivers. The river flows south from Nakhon Sawan to the Gulf of Thailand, passing through meanders and being controlled by the Phraya Dam before reaching its mouth and forming the Chao Phraya delta.
