About this document
Evolution of Money: From Barter to Coins by Nanda Ghufronudin is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Money has evolved greatly over thousands of years from early bartering systems to modern currencies. The first known currency, a form of money, was invented around 5,000 years ago by the Mesopotamians in the form of metal coins called shekels. Paper money was first created and used in China between 700-800 AD but was later stopped in the mid-15th century, with coins once again becoming the dominant form of currency.
