Understanding Transistors and Their Functions by Lokman Hakim is a document available to read on EtoBox.
A transistor is a semiconductor device with three terminals - the emitter, base, and collector. It functions as an electronic switch and amplifier. There are two types - NPN and PNP. In an NPN transistor, the emitter current is greater than the collector current, which is greater than the base current. A small change in base current results in a large change in collector current, allowing transistors to function as amplifiers. Transistors can also be used as automatic switches by using a light-dependent res
